A PhD research award named after Professor Tibor Hortobágyi presented in the Netherlands

A Research Impact Award named after the research professor of the Department of Kinesiology of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), Tibor Hortobágyi, was presented in the Netherlands.

Tibor Hortobágyi was Professor of Healthy Ageing and Movement at the Center for Human Movement Sciences in Groningen for 12 years.

In accordance with the Dutch regulations, he had to retire two and a half years ago, however, almost six years ago, he had established a research award to support PhD students.

In recognition of his work at the Dutch institution, the 2,000-euro-prize was named after him in 2021. It is called the Tibor Hortobágyi Research Impact Award.

Professor Hortobágyi presented the award to this year's winner, Eline Nijmeijer on 22 October.
