The International Relations Centre’s director and staff members from the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) recently paid a visit to Charles University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport in Prague, Czech Republic, to explore avenues for collaboration.
The delegation from HUSS, led by Dr habil Judit Kadar, Director of the International Relations Centre, included Gyorgyi Koppa, International Relations Coordinator and Gabor Csele, International Referent.
During the visit, the HUSS delegation had a productive meeting with Dr Miroslav Petr PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Ing. Lenka Henebergová, Vice-Dean for Internationalization, and Daniel Opelik, Member of the Department of Sport Management. The discussions focussed on potential areas of mutual cooperation, with a particular emphasis on bilateral exchange programs, webinars, joint training, instructor exchange, and doctoral research opportunities.
The meeting resulted in a decision to formalize the collaboration through a memorandum of understanding in order to pave the way for enhanced educational and research cooperation between the Hungarian University of Sports Science and the Charles University, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. This partnership aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, cultural understanding, and joint initiatives that will benefit students and researchers from both institutions.
The visit marks a significant step towards fostering international cooperation and strengthening ties between the two renowned institutions in the field of sports education and research. By sharing expertise and resources, HUSS and CUNI Faculty of Physical Education and Sport are set to create new opportunities for academic and professional growth in the field of sports science.
