Dr. Pál Hamar is Full Professor, he is serving as Vice-Dean responsible for education of the Semmelweis University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences from July 2011. He earned his degrees in this faculty, firstly as PE teacher, then in gymnastics coach. He earned his PhD in the Doctoral School of Pedagogy at Eötvös Loránd Science University Faculty of Liberal Arts in 2000. He is the Chair of the Gymnastics, RG, Dance and Aerobic Department of his Alma Mater since 2007. He is member and office-holder of several international and Hungarian associations in the field of sport and sport sciences. However he is working in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences since 1986, he continuously coaches gymnasts in Hungary and abroad. At the present he is President of the Womens’ Gymnastics Division of the Hungarian Gymnastics Federation. Each year he takes part in several study visits and conferences abroad and gives successful lectures. He has written 91 publications in Hungarian and 39 publications in foreign languages (in English, German, French, Italian, Romanian and Slovakian). He prepares some students for scientific competitions each year and he is also supervisor of PhD students. He was given several awards and titles to acknowledge his endeavour for the Faculty.
