Dr. Miklós Tóth, Full Professor, the Dean of Semmelweis University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences from July 2011.

He earned his degree as general practitioner at Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1986, then three years after he did his doctorate at the Ruprect-Karls University in Heidelberg. He earned his candidate in medicine in 1995, he is The Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences since 2002. He passed exams in internal medicine and in public administration.

He is the Chair of the Hungarian Society of Sport Sciences, the Sport Club of the University of Medicine and the Department of Sportmedics of the Association of Hungarian Medical Society. He is the head of the project ’Semmelweis Research University’. He is member of the board of the International College of Sport Sciences and Physical Education (ICSSPE). He is also member of the American advisory board of the Excercise is Medicine (EIM) and of the board of the European Department.

He was supervisor of ten PhD students who have already finished their studies. At present he is supervising four PhD students. He has written 112 scientific publications, their cumulative impact factor is 299.

He is married and has two children.
