Name of the Diploma: B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) in Physical Education and Coaching

Length of the Study Programme: 3 academic years, 6 semesters

Language of Instruction: English

The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences (TF) seeks students with appropriate academic qualifications, and strong motivation to study and practice Physical Education and Coaching. At the Entrance Examination English language knowledge and language skills will be examined and physical aptitude tests (conditional and co-ordinational) will be taken.

The university reserves the right to postpone the launch of the course in case of insufficient number of applicants.

Admission Requirements:

• Completed Application Form
• Transferred Application fee, Entrance Examination fee, and the first semester’s Tuition- and Registration fee (altogether 3500 EUR) to the bank account of Semmelweis University. Please note! Semmelweis University can not accept demand draft of cash as payment. Only bank transfer can be accepted. In case of unsuccesful Entrance Examination, Semmelweis University refounds the first semester’s Tuition- and Registration fee.

  • Physical Aptitude Test. Test Fee: EUR 250

Necessary Documents for Application:

1. Completed Application Form with Application Fee: EUR 200 (Non-refundable).
2. Secondary School Certification from an accredited secondary school.
3. Official Transcripts (or attested copy) with an authorized English translation of your academic record at secondary school. Unofficial transcripts may be submitted to facilitate evaluation but acceptance into the programme is conditional, pending receipt of all official transcripts or attested copies.
4. Detailed Curriculum Vitae in English.
5. Hand written motivation letter in English
6. 4 photographs (Passport size, signed at the back).

Entrance Examination

The Entrance Examination consists of a (1) Medical Test, a (2) Physical Aptitude Test, and an (3) English Written Test.

Physical Aptitude Test

1. Swimming: 100 meter swimming in two kind of competitive strokes. (basic requirement)
2. Ball games: candidates must select three ball-games from Basketball, Volleyball, Handball and Soccer. The evaluation will be made upon performance in basic technical skills of the selected games.
3. Combat Sports: coordinatonal- and balance test
4. Conditioning: abdominal strength test (sit-ups)
5. Gymnastics: pullover on the high bar
6. Athletics: 60 meters and 1,5 mile running
